Texas Holdem
Texas Holdem

Texas Holdem
is, hands down, the most popular poker game in
both land and online casinos. Suspenseful,
dramatic and prone to large pots, Texas Holdem draws big crowds at the World
Series of Poker and World Poker Tournaments.
See if what they say about Holdem-"easy to learn, hard to master"-is
true.

Omaha Poker
Omaha

A variation on Texas Holdem, Omaha Poker ups the ante by requiring
two of the initial four pocket cards dealt to be played. Fans of Omaha Poker love this twist because
it requires new strategies and presents new challenges.

Omaha
Omaha Hi-Lo

Omaha Hi-Lo
is a Poker favorite wherein community cards can
be used by each player to form both high and low hands. The trick is keeping track of them-4 hole
cards, 3 flop cards, a turn and a river require organization, strategy and
knowing when to hold and when to fold a less than stellar start hand.

Seven Card Stud
Seven Card Stud

In Seven Card Stud two hole cards and one upcard
start the game, with fourth through sixth streets and a final hole card dealt
individually to each player.  Strategy
says play for high pairs and fold if you don't have a strong hand after fourth street.

Five Card Stud
Five Card Stud

Five Card Stud is the original Stud Poker game and dates back to the American Civil War. One
hole card and one upcard, followed by three individually dealt upcards,
determine your hand. Play for Pairs and
High Cards to win the pot.

Razz

Razz is a Stud Poker game that turns traditional poker
on its head. In Razz, players receive
cards as they do in 7 Card Stud but aim for the lowest hand. There is no high hand winner and only one
player takes the pot. Sound easy? Don't be too sure. It requires timing, control and well-executed
strategy.

H.O.R.S.E

H.O.R.S.E. is not one Poker game, but a series
of Poker's most popular games played successively. Once the dealer button rounds the table, the
game changes, allowing players to try their hands at Texas Holdem, Omaha, Razz,
7 Card Stud and 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo.

Crazy Pineapple

Crazy Pineapple Poker is another Holdem variation.  Here, players receive three hole cards and must discard one of them after the flop.  It can be played limit, no-limit or pot-limit and is an action-packed, exciting poker game that offers Holdem fans an alternative means of playing their favorite game.

A to 5 Triple Draw

Ace to Five Triple Draw is a game of low hands in which players are dealt five cards and may discard none or all of them. Aces are always low and, unlike its sister game, Deuce to Seven, straights and flushes do not count against you. Though a fixed-limit game, the stakes are high in this game of skill, focus and lady luck.

Draw Poker

If you're new to Poker, Draw Poker is the place to start. Five cards are dealt face down and players discard and receive replacements to build their best five card hand. Learn hand values and increase your betting know-how. Draw Poker allows players to learn hand values and refine their betting skills.

Heads Up Poker

Attention thrillseekers! Do you crave intense, aggressive play with new hands dealt at lightning speed? Heads Up Poker may be for you. All Poker varieties can be played in the Heads Up style, wherein there is no raise limit and either of the two players at the table can raise until he goes all in, if desired.

Kill Games

Kill Games are poker variations most often seen in Holdem and Omaha 8 limit games.  If you win two consecutive qualifying pots in Holdem or scoop a qualifying pot with high and low Omaha hands, the betting stakes are raised for the next hand.  Players who love risk and suspense will love Kill Games.

Featured Online Poker Room
Pacific Poker is a clean, easy-to-navigate site that gives user-friendliness priority over flashy graphics. That's not to say that the site is boring. Players enjoy well-paced play, a unique game history function, comp points and a note-taking feature that allows players to jot down their poker epiphanies as they play. Sit 'n' go and multi-table tournaments are regularly offered, with buy-ins starting at pocket change. Of course, this means a lot of less-than-stellar players but, depending on your POV, this might just be seen as good fishing. Read Full Review

Poker Strategy
Two ways to win nearly always decreases profit. In Omaha Hi-Lo, aim to scoop the pot, otherwise you're playing a nearly break-even game that isn't worth the risk. If your high hand is not a sure bet after the flop and you'll likely lose or split the pot, cash out early and wait for the next hand.
